Daily Flower Candy: Fritillaria ‘William Rex’

Reading time 1 minute

Sound the fanfare, here he is, His Majesty William Rex, King of the Spring. After a disappointing year last year, when all my bulbs came up blind, he’s back on regal form. Despite his personal odour issues, (it wouldn’t be polite to point them out) spring just wouldn’t be the same without him!

    1. A pleasure! As you can probably tell, these are my absolute favourite spring bulbs. We know them as Crown Imperials and they manage to look very exotic whilst being completely hardy in the UK. They are happy in a pot so worth trying if you think it might be too cold where you are.
