After the wettest June on record, I can’t help wondering if July will follow suit. Apparently we are in for a month’s rain over the next two days and no doubt flooding in parts of the country. Whatever happened to those Mediterranean summers we were promised as a result of global warming?
Whilst the annuals are crying out for some flower-inducing sunshine, there are other plants which are revelling in the rain. The parsley, recently planted, is looking lush and tasty and the tree fern feels very much at home under the dripping canopy of the magnolia. Even the fish in the pond seem happier. I took these quick snaps of raindrops on Hosta “Krossa Regal” and Digitalis “Illumination Pink” on my iPhone, before heading out to work.

Do you know where I might find lillium Belle Époque for sale? Can’t find it anymore! 🙁 thanks, Gayle
Hi Gayle. I am not familiar with a lily by that name …. only a tulip. I hope you find the plant you are looking for.
