Beautiful Dreamer

Reading time 1 minute

I took this photograph today in Kowloon Park, Hong Kong. A girl sat artfully at the edge of the water, shaded by a graceful Chinese pavilion. She gazed nonchalantly, sometimes at her magazine, sometimes at the carp gliding beneath her. The picture was serenity itself. A modern-day willow pattern scene.

  1. Captivting! Somewhat more enchanting than the light show extravaganza from my hotel window! safe travels home Dan. H from O

  2. Apart from the fact that it’s not in blue and white, it looks like it’s come straight off a Chinese plate. Great photo. Hope you’re getting some time out to enjoy Hong Kong. Helen

    1. Alas, not really, but I grabbed a couple of hours this afternoon when I should have been packing to walk around the park (about which more soon), which was the perfect wind-down after 2 weeks of hard work.

  3. Yes, it is very Willow, isn’t it? Great photo, and thanks for sharing this moment with us. -Beth
