I took this photograph today in Kowloon Park, Hong Kong. A girl sat artfully at the edge of the water, shaded by a graceful Chinese pavilion. She gazed nonchalantly, sometimes at her magazine, sometimes at the carp gliding beneath her. The picture was serenity itself. A modern-day willow pattern scene.
Apart from the fact that it’s not in blue and white, it looks like it’s come straight off a Chinese plate. Great photo. Hope you’re getting some time out to enjoy Hong Kong. Helen
Alas, not really, but I grabbed a couple of hours this afternoon when I should have been packing to walk around the park (about which more soon), which was the perfect wind-down after 2 weeks of hard work.
Nice shot but something tells me you haven’t been photographed serenely sitting at water’s edge. 🙂 Hope your trip is going well and you have a safe trip home.

No. I only feel serene now I know that I’ll be airborne in 5 hours!! I’m in a New York style diner having a naughty burger before I leave 😉
Wishing you a safe journey home Dan…I bet you can’t wait to see your gardens again, and of course him indoors!
Thanks Anne. Landed safely. Not used to this thing called rain! Glad to be home.
Delightful.
