Its been a sultry week here in London. Moisture has been heavy in the air, reluctant to fall, forming a dull haze over the Thames valley. Reluctantly this afternoon a white sky found the energy to form a thin drizzle. In the garden every leaf and flower is finely beaded with water, deftly poised, waiting for the slightest breeze to dislodge the droplets.
Photographs taken using iPhone 6 in our London garden. From top: Zantedeschia ‘Sumatra’ with leaf of Pontederia cordata and Carex elata ‘Aurea’, Euphorbia mellifera, Abutilon ‘Nabob’, a spider, Zantedeschia ‘Sumatra’, Lilium ‘Scheherezade’, Zantedeschia ‘Siberia’.

Beautiful photographs! As usual my good man. As usual.
Too kind 🙂
Lovely images – they ought to be on one of the iPhone 6 posters on the underground!
I wish! Some of them are incredible 🙂
The iPhone 6 camera must be much better than the one on iPhone 5.
Yes, I sometimes get better shots on the iPhone 6 than I do on my SLR and it’s much easier to cart about!
That it is!
Stunning sho
Whoops! As I was saying….Stunning shots of these tropical beauties!
Thank you Anne. I think the plants are enjoying the mizzle more than I am!
Beautiful pictures!
You take far better photos with your iPhone than I can do with my camera. 🙂 Fantastic!
I am sure that’s not true! A steady hand and a good eye is all that’s required with the iPhone 🙂
Great photos. You at least have the rain. We have the humidity running well over 80%. It’s like gardening in a swamp. 🙂
I am not good with humidity Judy. In fact I hate it. I often wonder why I chose a job which requires extensive travel in the tropics! Gardening in a swamp doesn’t appeal, not least because I imagine I’d get bitten a lot. Not long until autumn now, which I imagine is fresher?
I decided to work outside early yesterday morning to try and beat it. It was 94% humidity at 7 a.m. It could have just rained and felt better. LOL
What amazing images, gosh who needs a high end camera these days….well done, beautiful!
Thank you Joao. A proper SLR still has its uses, especially for wide shots and zooming in, but for snapping on the run the iPhone is brilliant.
