As soon as I get near the coast I develop a fascination with photographing fishing paraphernalia. Harbour arms are frequently a treasure trove of interesting subjects – nets, buoys, floats, lobster pots and rusty metalwork. From Essaouira to St Ives, Broadstairs to Bermuda, the picture is the same: after a tough spell at sea fishermen unintentionally leave behind still-lives composed of working materials; often bright, sometimes faded, always photogenic.
These shots were taken on the harbour arm at Polperro, Cornwall (below). I hope you enjoy them.

Frame these!
Thank you! I just might 🙂
What wonderful colours and detail
Love the bright colors. 🙂
Thank you Judy 🙂
I agree with the others, these are gorgeous. And the view of the town is really lovely. I was in Cornwall once, and you have captured the charm. Oh, to be in England… But I’m stuck in middle America. I guess things could be worse.
Enjoyed! And now I have finally been to Cornwall I can appreciate them all the more 🙂
