Just one more flight and I’ll be home for Christmas. Work won’t be over for a while, but in the meantime this unusual, tropical-inspired Christmas tree adorned with birdcages, parrots, stag’s horn ferns, butterflies and beetles got me in the festive mood today. The Frustrated Gardener’s decs go up this weekend and will be white and transparent with flashes of red. How will you be dressing your tree this year?

Georgeous!!! I love the birdcage…. Gold, red and plenty of beautiful birdies, the occasional crystal and a bluebird of happiness for us….. Happy Christmas FG…..
Thanks Helen. Finally back from all my travels so I can start enjoying the run up to Christmas at last. Glad you like the crazy tree.
Our theme is always the same – family. I have decorations that were my grandparents, aunt, mom and gifts from special people. I know where each one came from and every one holds special meaning. Your transparent and red sounds like a show stopper. Share a photo. 🙂
We’re the same, we have lots of special ornaments that we weave in and the vast majority have some meaning or special origin. I think that’s incredibly important at Christmas. I’d hate to have all new. I’ll get a photograph on tomorrow once we’re done!
