Hybrid tea roses have fallen out of favour with gardeners since new old-fashioned varieties came on the scene. They tend to mix clumsily with other flowers, preferring to keep the stage to themselves. Nevertheless, hybrid teas like ‘Pink Perfection’, photographed at Castle Drogo, can’t be beaten for flower size, making them superb cut flowers. There are literally thousands of varieties in cultivation and many are sensationally scented.

I grow quite a few HTs as I find their boldness fits brilliantly with some of the more ‘fluffy’ plants adding a good contrast, and lots of flowers….
I’d love to see some pictures of how you combine your HTs with other plants – maybe you can change my opinion!
Really sweet!
